The house has many charming features including turquoise steps leading from the parking area to a secret garden and the entrance to your vacation paradise. One of the bathrooms is outdoor (private, but open to the wonderful ocean breeze) and is decorated with hand painted murals. Three full baths inside so each bedroom has a bath associated. The completely screened lanai runs the length of the house and has tables and chairs and a porch swing for you to relax and enjoy the spectacular sunset. There is also a comfortable patio with lounge chairs, and and a dining table and chairs. Exotic plants surround the patio, including cactus and bird of paradise. From December to April you can spot the whales, see and hear them slap their tails on the water and birth their young. The winter waves are dramatic; the summer ocean is placid.
The Milolii area is famous for deep sea fishing, and you can watch the fishing boats or go out yourself! Our property manager has a boat and can take you out fishing/touring or make arrangements for you. Beaches are a short jaunt away, as well as shopping, dining and all kinds of touring. The beautiful secluded Honomolino Beach is closeby--a short walk along the coast--watch the spinner dolphins, snorkel with the fish in the coral, and maybe see a sea turtle or a rare monk seal.
This home is the perfect spot for a relaxing and fun-filled Hawaii vacation. It is located off the main highway which runs from Kailua-Kona to the Volcano and then on to Hilo. A winding road with breathtaking views takes you down to the Stowaway, located on a dead-end street for plenty of quiet and privacy. The Milolii turn off is 33 miles from Kailua and 63 miles from the Volcano. It is a great, comfortable home and has all the amenities you need to enhance your vacation.
